Plenty of BigLaw summer associates do legitimate pro bono work. Sure, they’re paid, but they’re paid by the firm and the client isn’t charged. Isn’t the point to provide free services, rather than to deny student’s pay?

And this is the best sort of pro bono representation you can hope for from a law student, work that is supervised by an experienced attorney.

What’s the problem here?
